I am not in-network with any insurance companies independently for lactation consults. As of June 1st, I will no longer be accepting referrals through The Lactation Network (TLN). If you're a current client through TLN, as of June 1st, I will be billing you directly instead of through TLN. If you would like to discuss payment options, please let me know at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. This will also be fully communicated to you prior to the cut off date.
By booking an appointment with Twin Cities Lactation LLC, you are responsible for the full amount at the time of the visit. Your credit card or FSA/HSA will be collected upon booking of the appointment. You will be charged 1-2 hours prior to your appointment time. If you would like to make other payment arranges, please reach out at least 24 hours prior to your appointment as charges are automated.

I do offer sliding scale and that number is based on what you think you can pay depending on your family budget. You will never be turned away from care from an inability to pay, I just ask for clear communication. Sometimes I am able to fundraise the amounts if needed through social media. Please let me know ASAP or at least 24 hours before your appointment if you need sliding scale or if you want to try and have me fundraise the amount for your visit.
In addition to offering sliding scale, I do need client cases from time to time for teaching/educational purposes that may be used in a presentation and/or social media (clearly communicated and documented with the family first). If this is something that would be of interest, we could discuss a discount to your services in exchange for educational pictures and videos for Twin Cities Lactation LLC teachings.
I am working on credentialing with insurance companies to bypass a middle man and offer better coverage and support for my community. In the meantime, all visits are self pay. However, after you've paid in full for your consult, I can provide you with a superbill and you can submit it to your insurance and see if they will reimburse you directly. I have NO control over whether or not they accept it. It depends on each individual insurance company. You can be proactive and ask your insurance company if they reimburse superbills and what information they need in a superbill (ex. NPI number) to accept it. In addition to providing superbills, I do accept HSA/FSA cards (must have the physical card or card information) for Lactation and Craniosacral Therapy consults.
For Craniosacral Therapy visits, I do not accept insurance. I can, however, accept HSA/FSA cards (must have the physical card or card info) for Craniosacral Therapy consults. Your credit card or FSA/HSA will be collected upon booking of the appointment and will be charged 1-2 hours prior to appointment time.
Home visits take place Mondays through Thursday and availability is based on region (see map below). I do accommodate families with newborns 3 weeks of age or under needing in-home appointments. If you are needing an in-home visit for a newborn under the age of 3 weeks and there is no availability, please email me at your earliest convenience so I can find another space for you in my schedule. For visits that are outside of my travel radius (shown below), there will be a travel fee of $25-50 added to your invoice for all applicable visits and communicated and verified with you before billing.
Office visits take place on Fridays in St. Paul at the Richard Gordons Office Building (1619 Dayton Ave, St. Paul, 55104).

Fees are as described:

- In home initial lactation consults: $280 / In home follow up lactation consults: $240
- In office initial lactation consults: $240 / In office follow up lactation consults: $200
- In home initial craniosacral consults: $160 / In home follow up craniosacral consults: $130
- In office initial craniosacral consults: $130/ In office follow up craniosacral consults: $100
- Travel fee: $25-50 (13-18mi from 55106 - $25, 18+mi from 55106 - $50)
- Multiples for Lactation: $50/each additional infant
- Multiples/Additional children for Craniosacral Therapy ONLY: $25/each additional infant/child
- Urgent appointment fee (evening/night, weekends, holidays): $50
- Late cancellation (under 18 hours without rescheduling): $75
- No call/no show: Full amount of service
